To earn the CPMR designation, an representative agency owner/manager must attend 3 annual one week sessions of a residential program on a CPMR university campus. The curriculum is, by design, business management oriented. The courses cover specific subjects for owners and managers of firms that provide outsourced field sales. Following each annual session the participants must pass a four hour examination. Upon completion of all 3 annual sessions and passing all 3 exams the candidate has earned the right to use the designation CPMR. The designee has the right to continue and maintain the CPMR designation with ten hours of continuing business education credits that are required and monitored on a yearly basis. Non compliance serves as reason for forfeiture of the designation.
Since the inception of the program, over 1,500 individuals have earned their CPMR designation. In addition to the electrical and electronic industries, the designation is now recognized in a multitude of industries in North America. Worldwide, the mark of the professional in outsourced field sales management is receiving acknowledgment thru the affiliation with the IUCAB (International Union of Commercial Agents and Brokers).
